Electric Retrofit Conversion
Electric retrofit is the certified conversion of gasoline and diesel engines to battery and hydrogen electric powertrains and systems, which we have made possible in France by creating the industry and ambitious industrial regulations (released in April 2020) and available in more than 80 countries now.
It is one of the most immediate and common-sense solutions for decarbonizing transportation, which is responsible for 130 million tons of greenhouse gases just for France, billions of tons worldwide, and for making everyday savings.
REV, exclusive partner of Volkswagen Group Retail
VGRF, the leading distributor of VW Group brands in France, and REV, an innovative company specializing in the electrification of mobility, are joining forces to market electric retrofit conversion kits for VW Group brands (Volkswagen, Audi, Seat, Skoda, Cupra).
A MAJOR PARTNERSHIP, WHOSE OBJECTIVE IS TO:
- Develop, over the next three years, 12 “platform” solutions for commercial vehicles, older vehicles, and passenger cars for the Volkswagen Group's most popular brands (Volkswagen, Audi, Seat, Skoda, Cupra).
- Sell the kits to private, professional, and institutional customers (urban areas) together with financing offers and manufacturer warranties.
- Train and certify hundreds of technicians and mechanics at VGRF's 65 sites, located in France's largest urban areas.
- Install REV/VGRF retrofit kits as close as possible to customers. In the medium term, VGRF also plans to open one or more centers dedicated to decarbonization, which will make it possible to extend

We are launching Royalties Investment Operation DEFender TO THE PEOPLE
Participate in the deployment of our electric retrofit kits for the Land Rover Defender and earn royalties on sales.
After selling our first 14 "pilot" kits to RATP DEV (Al'Ula tourist site), to the DGA (French Defence Procurement Agency), and to a partner/investor in Switzerland, we were able to put our technology to the test in extreme conditions: intense heat, humidity, and cold.
These real-world tests allowed us to validate the robustness and reliability of our solutions.
Today, we are ready to move to industrialisation.
The demand is already there: Kenya, Camargue, Paris, Indonesia...
The needs are clear:
- Decarbonise iconic vehicles without replacing them;
- Significantly reduce operating and maintenance costs;
- Meet a simple logic of performance and economic common sense.

• Complete French type approval;
• Purchase strategic components (batteries, motors, BMS, wiring harnesses…);
• Produce a first industrial batch of 20 Defender kits, then subsequent ones;
• Launch commercial sales in France and internationally.

Why open this investment round?
Because our priority is simple: decarbonise fast.
REV is already firmly committed on the industrial front:
- We are currently producing 49 retrofitted coaches for the Rouen Metropolitan Authority at our new factory in Villefranche-sur-Saône;
- We are also selling our retrofitted Toyota Hilux pick-ups as far afield as Gabon.
- This strong growth is already stretching our conventional financing capacity.
- To meet Defender demand — which we sometimes have to turn down due to immediate lack of funding — we are therefore opening this crowdfunding round.
And interest is already strong:
Over €230,000 in expressions of intent have already been received, representing 45% of the first success threshold set at €400,000.
